My Favorite Hair Mask!

Yesterday I came home to find that our newest little addition had gotten out of her crate... and totally wrecked our apartment. Needless to say, after two full hours of picking up half-chewed garbage and furniture that had been launched across the room, I needed to pamper myself.

A hair mask is a very easy way to do just that, because it leaves you feeling extra beautiful with very little work... even better, it will cost you very little money and you probably already have everything laying around your pantry.

I have very dry and damaged hair, and the rain this week hasn't helped. I love making a hair mask, because you can see and feel the difference right away. I've tried many different combinations before, but what I like most about these specific ingredients is that when mixed together they smell really, really yummy!

Here's what you'll do:

Grab 2 eggs - for Vitamins A, D, and E (aka shiny, soft goodness!)...
Add 1/2 cup honey - for some extra nourishment...
Mix in 1/4 cup olive oil - to tame down those split ends and fly aways!

Spread these ingredients evenly throughout your hair and cover with a shower cap. I left this on for 30 minutes yesterday, but you can leave it on for as long as several hours and it will only continue to moisturize and repair your hair. Once you're done, simply rinse with your shampoo and conditioner and you're all done!

Depending on your hair, you can use this hair mask (or any variation of it) once or twice per week.

Don't have these ingredients? Here are some other things that are great for your hair: Mayonnaise, Baking Soda, Maple Syrup, Apple Cider Vinegar, Agave Nectar, Bananas, Brown Sugar, and Avocado's.

Tip: If you use some of these other ingredients and don't like the smell, add a few drops of Lavender Oil. This will not only help the smell, but the aroma will also add to your relaxation!
